Alfred L. Gray
Alfred Leftwich Gray (October 2, 1873 in Palmyra, Virginia – October 13, 1932)[1][2] was a member of the Virginia Glee Club during the Glee Club 1891-1892 season. A second year student during the season,[3] he was also a member of Phi Kappa Sigma, Eli Banana, the Z Society, the Thirteen Club, and O.F.C.[1] His brother was fellow Glee Club alum Ernest Alphonso Gray.
Gray graduated from the medical school of the University of Virginia in 1897, and after interning in Philadelphia joined the faculty of the University College of Medicine, which subsequently became part of the Medical College of Virginia. He served as dean of MCV after the merger.[1]
