Duncan Dunbar Chaplin (June 23, 1928 in Chappaqua, New York – April 12, 2011)[1] was a member of the Virginia Glee Club during the Glee Club 1947-1948 season. Graduating in 1951, he was also president of Kappa Sigma, a member of Alpha Kappa Psi, the Jefferson Literary and Debating Society, Lambda Pi, the Trident Society, the Inter-Fraternity Council, the soccer team, the V Club, and NROTC.[2]
Chaplin was commissioned in the United States Marine Corps as a second lieutenant and served for 30 years. He served in the Korean Conflict and in the Vietnam War as a battalion commander. He served as a state representative in New Hampshire from 2003 to 2006.
