For Unto Us a Child Is Born appears to be the first recording of the Virginia Glee Club's Christmas concerts. Recorded in Christmas 1967 during the Glee Club 1967-1968 season and conducted by Donald Loach, the recording features works of Britten and Halsey Stevens, as well as contributions from the Virginia Gentlemen.[1]
