The 1976 Founder's Day Concert of the Virginia Glee Club, conducted by Donald Loach, was held April 13, 1976 in Old Cabell Hall. Billed as part of the University's celebration of the Bicentennial, the concert featured the University of Virginia Symphonic Band, Michael J. Elmore conductor, and included a performance of The Testament of Freedom by Randall Thompson, which had originally been performed at the 1943 Founder's Day Concert on the occasion of Thomas Jefferson's bicentennial observance.
