Henry Morgan was a professor of music at the University of Virginia. He was acting director of the McIntire Department of Music in 1948-1949 and director of the Virginia Glee Club during the 1948-1949 season, while Stephen Tuttle was on leave for his Guggenheim fellowship..

Morgan graduated from Princeton University in 1940 and spent five years in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After the war he returned to Princeton for two years of advanced study with Randall Thompson, then joined the University of Virginia faculty in 1947.[1]
