Michael Bradford Stillman (born 1940) served as the president of the Virginia Glee Club during the 1961-1962 season, having served as business manager during the 1959-1960 and 1960-1961 seasons. Stillman collaborated with Club director David Davis on several Glee Club compositions, including "Summer Songs" and "Broken Glass," writing the lyrics.

Stillman was a poet, graduating with a double degree in music and English in 1963, and went on to a masters at Harvard University (1965) and a Ph.D. program at Stanford University. Leaving Stanford without finishing his dissertation ("lured away by the graduate seminars in computer-generated sound at the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory in nearby Palo Alto"), Stillman went on to pursue many projects in literature and music in Silicon Valley. His best known work, "In Memoriam John Coltrane," was widely anthologized.[1]
